The organisation has a vast area of work ranging from natural gas, liquid hydrocarbon, liquefied petroleum gas transmission, petrochemical, city gas distribution, exploration, and production, to GAILTEL and electricity generation. GAIL was honoured with the Maharatna status on 01st &nbsp;February 2013 by the Government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The logo of GAIL comprises of the initial letters of GAIL i.e., \u201cG\u201d, alongwith\u201c\u0917\u0947\u0932\u201d written using Devanagari script at the top and GAIL in English written at the bottom.
