UGC provides recognition to universities in India and disburses funds to such recognized universities and colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The motto of UGC is Gyan-Vigyan Vimuktaye, meaning &#8211; Knowledge Liberates. The motto has been depicted in its Logo in Devanagari script.
