A nationwide plan in India to provide good all-weather road connectivity to unconnected villages, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is a centrally sponsored scheme that was introduced in 2000 by Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the then Prime Minister of India. The scheme operates under the authority of the Ministry of Rural Development and was started on 25th December 2000.

The primary objective of the scheme is to provide connectivity by way of an all-weather road (with necessary culverts and cross-drainage structures, which is operable throughout the year) to the eligible unconnected habitations.

The logo of PMGSY depicts a road.
