Government e Marketplace (GeM) is a national public procurement portal that offers end-to-end solutions for all the procurement needs of the Central and State Government Departments, autonomous institutions, Public Sector Units and local bodies. The portal was launched on 9th August 2016 with a vision to promote transparent, efficient and inclusive public procurement. Goods and services like computer supplies, projectors, etc., and human resources can be procured through the portal. 

The mission of GeM is to institute a unified procurement policy to encourage behavourial change and drive reform; build an easy to use, fully automated platform to ensure transparency and efficiency in procurement; and create a sustainable ecosystem covering all stakeholders and driving inclusive development in India.

The Logo of GeM has several arrow-shaped graphical structures, which depicts collaboration, coordination and facilitation between government entities and private vendors. It also contains the acronym and full form of the name, along with the motto i.e. Efficient, Transparent & Inclusive.
