A non-government, not-for-profit organisation, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) acts as an association of business organisations in India. Having memberships from the corporate sector (both private and public), FICCI was established by Shri GD Birla and Shri Purushottam Das Thakurdas in 1927, on the advice of Mahatma Gandhi. It is engaged in sector-specific business building, promotion and networking, and is the largest, oldest and the apex business organisation in the country.

The FICCI Logo is an acronym of the full name of the organisation. The letters are surrounded by four different colours, out of which two colours represent the India Flag.
