The world’s largest coal producer, Coal India Limited is a state-owned company engaged into coal mining and refining. Having headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal, the Maharatna company has been ranked at 8th spot among the top 20 firms behind a third of all global carbon emissions, and it contributes to around 82% of the coal production in India.

The Coal India Logo is black in colour that is the colour of coal. It mentions the company name in Devanagari script and shows the icon of a land machine used in coal fields.
