To empower the residents of India with a unique identity and provide them with a digital platform to authenticate anytime & anywhere, Aadhaar i.e., a 12-digit unique identity number was introduced. The purpose of Aadhaar is to eliminate duplicate identities and to authenticate users in an easy, cost-effective manner.

The Logo for Aadhaar is an Abstract Mark Logo comprising of a fingerprint graphic, associating it with the unique identity of each person. Mr. Atul S. Pande of Pune was the man behind the creation of Logo for Aadhaar.
